In the secondary school classroom, there is a growing expectation for students to access their learning through reading resources. Whether that’s reading a slide presentation, a printed document, or a webpage, reading is a key skill that enables students to access the curriculum.

It’s a new year and a new term, which means that most schools will have recently carried out end-of-term assessments for teachers to gain a summative insight into how the needs of their class have changed over the first term. Subsequently, many will have identified children who require extra support to keep them, or get them, on track.
Recently, we ran a training webinar focusing on how Clicker can be used to support teaching maths. We had lots of requests for resources on different maths topics. The most popular including numbers and counting, place value, and operations.
We have thoroughly enjoyed supporting KidsAid over the last year through a range of fundraising activities.
Earlier this year, a BBC news item “Writing a Book in a Day” highlighted the work of a South African based charity called Book Dash that creates and publishes books for free, with the aim of enabling all children to “own a hundred books by the age of five”.
The predictor is one of the many fabulous features of Clicker and DocsPlus. Using the predictor results in greatly improved coherence, spelling and grammar, and helps to increase the writing productivity of learners who struggle to transfer their knowledge and ideas to the page.
We recently received a wonderful Clicker success story from Pete Thomson who is the Student Services Officer at Magill School. Pete has been using Clicker for over a decade and is a huge advocate of the support it provides pupils and the progress they make.
