Clicker in an international school - success story

31st January 2018

Last term I had the pleasure of meeting Emma Dibden from Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS), Dubai. Emma is Head of Learning Support, an Inclusion Champion and a prominent member of the Dubai Inclusion Network.

Emma orchestrated the purchase of Clicker for JESS in 2017 and she was impressed with the positive impact on the students. Emma kindly agreed to discuss her experiences with us and has given some fantastic feedback.

“We had the Dubai School Inspection Bureau in earlier this week, and they were able to see the Year 6 Leaders working with me to create a Clicker user guide for their younger peers. They commented very positively about the whole concept and the impact on the students’ confidence.

…there are several of them who were previously totally turned off by writing, but absolutely rave about it now they have Clicker!

To sum up the impact that Clicker is having in our school, it’s really transforming the writing experience and creating a community of engaged, motivated writers. [It] has levelled the playing field – it’s giving them the same opportunities to be successful as their peers.”
