DocsPlus Universal for Windows / Mac
For subscriptions purchased after November 2020.
I can't delete files in Explorer
When right-clicking a file in the Explorer, the Delete option is dimmed out, or the following error message appears if you choose it:
File cannot be deleted
Resolution
If you get the error, your Windows / Mac account doesn't have permission to delete the file. Link your IT Support to this article and ask for read / write access to the relevant network share (see below for location).
If Delete is dimmed out, the file is probably in the Classes or Safe folder. This is done deliberately to prevent accidental deletion.
To delete files in these folders, open the folder in Windows Explorer (Mac: Finder):
Clicker 8
- Click Manage in the Options ribbon tab.
- Open the Files tab.
- Click the Shared Clicker Files location.
- Go into the Classes or Safe folder to delete the file(s).
Clicker 7 / DocsPlus
- In the top Options ribbon tab, click Program Management.
- Open the Folder Locations tab.
- Click Shared Clicker Files location.
- Go into the Classes or Safe folder to delete the file(s).
