About Crick Software
Crick Software develops exciting, innovative, yet practical educational software. Established in 1993 by teachers John and Ann Crick, the company has earned a high reputation for quality.
We use our profits to develop new products that exploit the latest technologies to benefit all learners. Many of our staff are qualified and experienced teachers, including the majority of our content developers, education sales consultants, and trainers.
Our software is used in over 90% of UK primary schools and a growing number of secondary schools, colleges and homes. In total our software is used on well over half a million computers worldwide. We have won 10 BETT awards, known as the 'Oscars' of the UK educational software industry, and we have won other prestigious awards in both the UK and the US.
Universal Design for Learning is fundamental to everything we do. As we develop our software, we think carefully about learners of all abilities, and we strongly believe in the principles of personalised learning. Our software is used by pupils of all abilities, including struggling writers, learners with dyslexia, children learning English and those with disabilities.
We stay close to the classroom by working with educators at a variety of levels, and our products adhere to the latest educational thinking and government guidelines. We also supply free online resources to help teachers to use our software across all curriculum areas.
Our offices are in Northampton, England and Westport, Connecticut. We work closely with our partners in Australia and New Zealand, we have resellers in 19 countries worldwide, and our software has been translated into many other languages.
Crick Software is a member of the British Educational Suppliers Association, and a sponsor of NAACE, the professional association for advancing education through ICT. In 2008, John and Ann Crick were honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the annual BESA Education Resource Awards.
