How do I activate via command line?

The software is installed but not activated on multiple Windows computers. This may be because the automatic activation was unsuccessful during installation. It may be because the software was included in a system image that was applied to client computers.

Resolution

Activation is performed by CrickActivate.exe in the software's Program Files folder.

It connects to activate.cricksoft.com/activate via HTTPS (Port 443).

You can use a logon script, Scheduled Task, Group Policy, or similar to run this program via command line on each workstation.

The following parameters must be used:

-serial   Your serial number (see examples).
-silent   The activation attempt won't display any messages.

The following parameters can be used if required:

-proxy   The address of a proxy server.
-user     The username to use when accessing the proxy server.
-pass     The password to use when accessing the proxy server.

Clicker example:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Crick Software\Clicker 8\CrickActivate.exe" -silent -serial "8XXXX XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX"

DocsPlus example

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Crick Software\DocsPlus\CrickActivate.exe" -silent -serial "DXXXX XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX" -proxy "10.0.0.254:8888" -user "myusername" -pass "mypassword"
