How do I change the pronunciation of a word in DocsPlus?

DocsPlus is saying a word incorrectly and you would like to teach it the correct pronunciation.


You can use the Word Pool to specify the correct pronunciation:

  1. Click Word Pool in the Options ribbon tab.
  2. Type your word in the top box and click Add.
  3. Select your word on the left, and then type within the Pronounce selected word as box. Spell the word phonetically, the way you want it pronounced.

If you have a network installation of DocsPlus, all your computers share the same Word Pool. Therefore, adding a word on one computer will update all the others!

Please note: due to the complexity of text-to-speech technology, speech engines may sometimes pronounce a word differently than expected (particularly names).
