How can I share my Clicker files?

You'd like to share your Clicker files between devices or send them to other people.

What is WebDAV and how do I use it on iPad?

You would like to know how WebDAV can be used to share files.

Resolution

WebDAV is a service that allows files to be shared over the Internet. When you connect to a WebDAV server, you can open, edit and delete files as if they were on your device.

SET UP the App

To link the app to your WebDAV server:

  1. Tap the Settings (cog) icon in the top toolbar, tap Sharing and turn on WebDAV.
  2. Tap the File Explorer (folder) icon in the top toolbar and tap WebDAV on the left.
  3. Tap Link to WebDAV, enter the address of the server and your account details, and then tap the (>) icon.

OPEN FILES FROM WEBDAV

To open a file from WebDAV:

  1. Tap the File Explorer (folder) icon and tap WebDAV on the left.
  2. Browse to your file and tap it.

This copies the file to the WebDAV Downloads folder on your iPad so it can be accessed later, even without an Internet connection.

COPY FILES TO WEBDAV

To copy files from your iPad to WebDAV:

  1. Tap the File Explorer (folder) icon and tap iPad on the left.
  2. Browse to your files and tap Edit in the top-right corner.
  3. Select one or more files and tap Copy.
  4. Tap WebDAV on the left, browse to your desired location, and then tap Paste.

For IT Professionals

Please configure your WebDAV server to use these MIME types:
