Clicker Apps for Chromebook

Share files via email

Most people are familiar with email, so it's a good way to share files every now and then.

For regular file sharing, consider using cloud storage instead.

Send a File

Files will be sent via your Gmail account.

To send the current Document:

  1. Click  writer-app-w32h28  and choose Send As.
  2. Choose a file type:
    • Clicker Document - compatible with our software.
    • Microsoft Word Document - compatible with most writing tools (e.g. Google Docs).
    • Text File - simple plain text without formatting or pictures.
    • PDF - a "digital printout" that can be viewed on most devices.
  3. A blank email should appear with your file attached.

To send the current Clicker Set:

  1. Click  writer-newCS-w37h26  and choose Send As.
  2. A blank email should appear with your file attached.

To send the current Book:

  1. If the top toolbar is hidden, click  books-top-w44h14  to show it.
  2. Click  books-menu-w32h30  and choose Send As.
  3. A blank email should appear with your file attached.

To send the current Talk set:

  1. If the top toolbar is hidden, click  talk-top-w44h14  to show it.
  2. Click  books-menu-w32h30  and choose Send As.
  3. A blank email should appear with your file attached.

Receive a File

To open a file from a received email:

  1. In Gmail, open the email and click the file attachment.
  2. Click Download (down arrow). 
  3. In Clicker Writer, click  writer-explorer-w32h29  and choose My Files.
  4. In the Files window, click Downloads on the left.
  5. Double-click the file.

To open a file from a received email:

  1. In Gmail, open the email and click the file attachment.
  2. Click Download (down arrow). 
  3. In Clicker Books, if the top toolbar is hidden, click  books-top-w44h14  to show it.
  4. Click  books-menu-w32h30  and choose My Files.
  5. In the Files window, click Downloads on the left.
  6. Double-click the file.

To open a file from a received email:

  1. In Gmail, open the email and click the file attachment.
  2. Click Download (down arrow). 
  3. In Clicker Talk, if the top toolbar is hidden, click  talk-top-w44h14  to show it.
  4. Click  books-menu-w32h30  and choose My Files.
  5. In the Files window, click Downloads on the left.
  6. Double-click the file.
