Clicker Success Stories

Davinder Phuller

I support a child at our school who has severe learning difficulties and Clicker has given her the opportunity to access the curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way.  I create grids in Clicker as well as activities using Jigworks which she will be motivated by.

...it’s a great motivation for her to click and things happen

She needs encouragement with her fine-motor skills and so it’s a great motivation for her to click and things happen.  The speech feedback is also great as it is really clear and she can work independently and check her work by listening to it.  We also really like the on-screen keyboard – the fact that it is lower-case is great, as it reinforces the letters she has been learning to write.

I create grids with specific vocabulary and with the help of the pictures and sounds the child enjoys the work more and benefits more.  It has really helped with her reading and writing and can be used in any subject to support her.

She is very motivated by the use of ICT and we encourage her to use Clicker as a break from writing.  It is great as she is able to create high-quality pieces of written work.

There is just so much you can do with Clicker and because I support an individual child, I can really see the benefits, day by day.  She is much more motivated to learn and is always focussed when she is using Clicker.
