Question Activities
The
Question grids can be used by individuals or with a group. There
is the opportunity to record the answer in Clicker Writer but this
is not a necessary part of the activity.
Questions 1
These grids are picture-based and the questions involve what each of the children
did in the story. They are particularly suitable for children who may find
responding to the story in words more difficult.
Some ways in which the Question screens can be used with a group
are:
- Ask the children to name each character pointing to the pictures.
- Ask the children to select the character picture to answer
the question by pointing.
- Ask the children to select the character picture to answer
the question by naming the character.
- Give each child in the group pictures of the six characters
and get them to hold up the character in answer to the question.
- Make a worksheet with the questions and ask the children to
stick the character picture on the sheet or write the character
name.
- Listen to the sound to go with each character and discuss what
each one did in the story.
- Extend the question by talking about what else happened in
the story.
- Get children to form their own questions about the characters
or stories.
Questions 2
This section has word-based answers. Many of the above activities are relevant.
In addition the children can read along to the answers which are often based
on similar sentence constructions.
