Are we a 'Special Needs Company' or an 'Education Company'?
Both! We create award-winning software for all abilities! That's why our software is so widely used on more than half a million computers in over 40,000 schools!
We have a huge amount of both education and special needs expertise within our company, and we design our software to be accessible for all students, in the same way that architects design accessible buildings for all people.
By taking people with special needs into account, the result is software that is better for everyone!
Clicker comes with an on-screen keyboard. Clicker, Clicker Paint, ClozePro and Jigworks are also switch accessible - and so is the curriculum software that is powered by Clicker, such as Find Out & Write About and Planet Wobble. We also make the Crick USB Switch Box, which automatically sets itself up for the software you are using.

Switches are buttons that you connect to your computer. You can press
these instead of using the mouse button or key presses. Because they are
easy to press, they are useful for people with physical disabilities.
You can connect more than one switch to your computer via a switch box.
You can then choose the action that each switch performs, e.g. you can
have one switch to move between objects on the screen and another to select
an object.
If you have just one switch, you can set up switch-accessible software
so that a timed 'scan' moves between the objects on the screen and highlights
them.

There is a comprehensive range of access options that enables control with either one or two switches, with a variety of scans and precision timing.
Switch users can use Clicker for word processing and communication. They can also use Clicker talking books and simple 'hit and happen' activities.
All of our Clicker resources are switch accessible too, including Find Out and Write About, Planet Wobble, Clicker Books and of course Clicker LearningGrids!
To access Clicker 5 with switches, you need the Crick USB Switch Interface.
