With its graphics, speech, and the ability to link together an unlimited number of grids, Clicker is now widely used as a communication aid. For symbol support, you can use the symbol set of your choice.

Using symbols

If you are using symbols, Clicker is the perfect tool to give easy access to them, whether you are using a mouse, touch screen or switches. Because it’s so easy to add graphics to Clicker cells, you can create grids using any pictures you like, including symbols.

The way in which Clicker displays graphics is optimized to give the best possible results with symbols - lines thicken automatically as the symbol is enlarged, and symbols can easily be colour-coded. With Clicker, you can send your symbols, graphics or even photos to Clicker Writer, Clicker's built-in, easy-to-use talking word processor, where you can edit them just as text.

Communication grids

You can create your own communication aid with Clicker grids. Because you can link together as many grids as you like, there is no limit to the number of symbols you can access. For example, you may want to have a grid for food, another for drinks, another for emotions, and so on. You can mix together different types of symbols and other graphics on the same grid, and you can choose whether or not to display text underneath. And, of course, the grids can be changed easily at any time.

To support writing

You can use Clicker Grids containing symbols. Clicker Writer displays both the symbol and the text.
