Clicker 5

Clicker 5 is the ultimate software for giving your pupils access to the curriculum. Simply open the Options menu and select User Access, and then choose either single or two-switch access. All your Clicker Grids will then be scanned, either automatically (if you are using a single-switch scan) or by pressing a second switch. To access Clicker 5 via switches, we support the Crick USB Switch Box. This Switch Box has been declared as the ‘World Standard’ in switch boxes.

Activities like this can be completed with very efficient switch presses. The pop-up closes automatically as a word is entered, and scanning then restarts on the main grid.

You can fine-tune numerous timing settings and how the scan is displayed, and you can even choose an auditory scan. With Clicker 5, switch users will be able to write using whole words, phrases or pictures. They can move between grids, and open pop-up grids and keyboards. And all of this can be tailored exactly to their abilities, so that they only have the options they can manage.

All the Clicker 5 templates have been designed to scan in an efficient way, but you can also define your own scan groups within a grid if you wish. All the free Grid Sets on our LearningGrids site have been designed to scan efficiently too.

If your switch users aren't using Clicker 5 yet, they are missing out on a whole range of activities, from simple writing and matching activities, through labelling and sequencing, to creating their own talking books!
