Company Profile: Crick Software Ltd
Crick Software, based at Moulton Park, Northampton UK, is solely
focused on producing innovative educational software. The company
concentrates particularly on software tools for literacy.
Crick Software promotes the inclusion of children of all abilities
by creating flexible products that can be tailored by teachers to
the needs of individuals. Most products have the option of switch

John Crick, previously a teacher, started the company in 1993 and
since then it has rapidly expanded. A team of qualified teachers
focus on producing curriculum-related content and support for all
Crick’s products.
The Company’s best-known product is Clicker, a supportive
writing and multimedia tool. Clicker has won five BETT awards, is
a Millennium Product, and is consistently one of the top selling
educational software titles in the UK. Clicker is also widely used
in Australia and the United States, and is translated into three
European languages.
Ready-made sets of learning resources to support Crick’s
products can be freely downloaded from www.clickergrids.com. In
addition to materials created in-house, the site also offers teachers
the opportunity to share materials they have created for their own
classrooms.
