Clicker wins 5th BETT Award
Clicker, the supportive writing tool from Crick Software, was announced
the winner of the Special Needs Software Award at the annual BETT
awards* dinner. This is the fifth time that Clicker has won this
prestigious award, firmly establishing Clicker as the most important
software in its field.
“We are delighted to have won this award,” said John
Crick, Managing Director of Crick Software, “particularly
as it is voted for by teachers. They really know what works in the
classroom.”
Crick Software has now launched version 4 of Clicker. With this
development the program has become even more powerful. It includes
many Internet features and enhanced multimedia facilities. Yet it
still maintains its ease of use and most of all works even better
for children learning early literacy skills.
Clicker is now supported by Clicker Grids for Learning, a large
and growing set of Clicker resources available for teachers to freely
download from www.clickergrids.com.
Clicker 4 is available at £90 for a single user, plus £12
for each additional user licence. There is a discount of £40
for upgrades from any earlier version of Clicker. Switch access
is included in these prices.
*The BETT awards are designed to reward excellence in product design
and usage and reflect achievement in all areas of ICT. Following
nominations from schools and the industry, a panel of experts shortlisted
up to five products in each category and the winners were selected
from these.
The awards are sponsored by Compaq, Intel, 3Com, Microsoft and
the Times Educational Supplement.
