Clicker Grids for Learning: New, free resources from Crick
Software
Crick Software is launching a new free service to teachers and
other users of Clicker 3. Clicker Grids for Learning can soon be
found on the Crick Software website at www.clickergrids.com.
Clicker Grids for Learning is a growing bank of ready-to-use Clicker
grids.
The many thousands of schools using Clicker will find this an invaluable
resource. Clicker is an extremely flexible writing and multimedia
tool for children of all abilities. Children write by clicking on
words, pictures and sounds in grids designed by a teacher. Clicker
Grids for Learning is a categorised collection of high quality grids,
many with graphics, that are ready to use as they are, but can also
be easily modified.
The grids initially focus on literacy, and will grow to cover all
areas of the curriculum. A short description and screen shot on
the website enables you to browse through the sets of grids before
downloading for use in the classroom.
The range of grids will be regularly updated and teachers and other
users are invited to send grids to Crick Software for inclusion
in the scheme.
Ann Crick, who will be managing Clicker Grids for Learning said:
"Many teachers are producing wonderful Clicker resources to
use in their classroom – this service will spread good practice,
enable the sharing of ideas, and will save teachers’ valuable
time. It’s exciting to think that teachers in Birmingham can
be sharing grids, not only with teachers in Aberdeen, but also in
Melbourne or Chicago. Why re-invent grids that have already been
made?"
Clicker Grids for Learning are free to all registered Clicker users,
who will also be expanding their Crick Picture Library when they
install the new grids. The service will be launched for the new
school year on September 7th .
