Crick launches Clicker 4
BETT 2000, Kensington, Olympia, London
Crick Software has included internet support in the latest version
of Clicker, to be launched at BETT 2000.
Children in thousands of schools already use Clicker to write with
whole words and pictures. New Internet and multimedia features open
up even more exciting activities.
Clicker Writer, the word processor part of the program, has been
totally re-written with html as the native format. This means you
can publish any documents written with Clicker 4 directly onto the
web. There have been many other enhancements to Clicker Writer,
including a talking pictorial spell checker.
Enhanced multimedia features enable users to easily create talking
books that can include videos and multiple text boxes. This means
that teachers can provide reading material directly linked to writing
tasks.
"We're always thinking about the needs of teachers and children
in the classroom," said John Crick, Director. "So as well
as being considerably more powerful, Clicker 4 is even easier to
use than previous versions. For example, new grids can now be created
instantly from a set of templates."
Clicker is supported by Clicker Grids for Learning, a growing range
of free resources available free at Crick's website - www.cricksoft.com.
A new range of resource packs using Clicker 4's powerful new features
is also due for imminent release.
Clicker 4 is priced at £90 for a single user, plus £12
for each additional user licence. Switch access is included. An
upgrade price for existing Clicker users will be announced at BETT.
