CCCWH9 - Cannot install the app

Applies To

  • Clicker Connect for Chromebook

Symptoms

You've found Clicker Connect in the Chrome Web Store and clicked Add to Chrome, but you see this error message instead:

Clicker Connect is blocked by the administrator

Resolution

Your Google Domain is configured to block all Chrome Apps except for ones allowed by your Google Admin.

Please contact your Google Admin and ask them to add Clicker Connect to the list of allowed apps.

Information for Google Admins

If you have used the Google Admin console to force-install Clicker Connect, but it isn't appearing on Chromebooks, your Google Domain may be configured to block all Chrome Apps except those on a whitelist.

To allow Clicker Connect to be force-installed:

  1. Go to Device management > Chrome management > User settings.

  2. Select the domain (or an appropriate OrgUnit) on the right.

  3. Browse to the following sections and adjust accordingly:

Allow or Block All Apps and Extensions

    Allowed Apps and Extensions

If this is set correctly for the domain, ensure that all OrgUnits are inheriting the settings correctly.
